Islamabad: The National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday, today, in keeping with its tradition of postponing proceedings when a sitting member passes away, the Speaker adjourned the House, scheduling it to reconvene tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.
The NA session started at the Parliament House in Islamabad today with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq in the chair.
The House offered fateha for the departed souls of Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq Haqqani, Nawab Yousuf Talpur and others.
Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi led the fateha.
The lawmakers also paid glowing tribute to the late Nawab Yousuf Talpur for his contributions to democracy and politics.
The House particularly recognized his efforts in bringing agricultural issues to the forefront during parliamentary sessions.
The Speaker, keeping the NA tradition of postponing proceedings when a sitting member passes away, adjourned the House till tomorrow.
The NA session has been called tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.
