Islamabad: National Assembly (NA) standing committee on Information despite government opposition has called Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the issue of the British company broadsheet.
Chairman of committee on Information Javed Lateef belonging to Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) hinted to call Chairman NAB after expressing his anger on the graft buster body.To which Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz objected to it and said that what relation NAB Chairman has with this committee. If someone wanted to Call Chairman NAB than all the characters of the broadsheet should be called adding that tomorrow can someone call former premier as well.
Chairman committee Javed Lateef said that you (Shibli Faraz) has come to pressure adding that you toe the government line on the NAB issue. He said that aim of calling of Chairman NAB is not that he is responsible adding that due to mistake of the one institution claimed billions of rupees of masses and Chairman NAB should clarify.
Talking to media Information Minister Shibli Faraz said that calling the Chairman NAB is an attempt to pressurize the NAB.
Shibli Faraz said that meeting of the inquiry committee constituted by Prime Minister Imran Khan will be held today or tomorrow adding that all the responsible will come under the probe.
