Islamabad: The lower house of the parliament National Assembly ( NA) will resume its session in Islamabad at 11.30 am on Wednesday, today.
The house will transact legislative business besides discussing issues of importance.
On yesterday, NA in keeping with its tradition of postponing proceedings when a sitting member passes away, the Speaker had adjourned the House, scheduling it to reconvene today at 11:30 a.m.
The NA session had started at the Parliament House in Islamabad with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq in the chair.
The House offered fateha for the departed souls of Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq Haqqani, Nawab Yousuf Talpur and others.
Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi led the fateha.
The House particularly recognized Yousuf Talpur efforts in bringing agricultural issues to the forefront during parliamentary sessions.
The Speaker, keeping the NA tradition of postponing proceedings when a sitting member passes away, adjourned the House till today.
