NAB completes investigation of royal palm multi-billion scandal

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has completed investigation into royal palm multi billion scandal, a reference against three former generals and railway officials, has sent to the NAB headquarters for approval.

Railway’s precious land of 141 acres of land in Lahore have been allotted to royal palm golf club in a cheap price on 33 years lease with alleged collusion in the Musharraf regime.

The NAB chairman Qamar Uzaman Chaudhry will approve the reference in next executive board meeting.

An investigation officer has held responsible former railway minister Lt Gen (retd) Javeed Ashraf Qazi, former railway chairman, Lt Gen (retd) Saeed Uzaffar, Maj Gen (retd) Hamid Hassan, Khursheed Ahmed and Iqbal Samad for the scandal.

NAB has estimated that as many as 9.5 billion rupees loss faced by the national exchequer in the scandal.

Sources said that, federal minister for Railway Saad Rafique has provided many evidences to the NAB officials regarding the scandal.
