Islamabad: An executive board meeting of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is continued at its headquarter in Islamabad wherein it is likely that various inquiries and investigation will be approved.
Deputy Chairman NAB, prosecutor accountability, Director General (DG) operations, DG headquarters and other senior officer of the anti-corruption body will attend the huddle in the chair of the Chairman NAB just(retd) Javed Iqbal.
Various inquiries, investigations and references are expected to be authorised after due diligence as per law in the meeting.
The NAB has a believe of corruption free Pakistan while Chairman NAB (retd) justice Javed Iqbal said that we are following a policy of accountability for all. The NAB chairman said that the anti-corruption body sees buisness community of the country with respect for their services for development and prosperity of the country.
The graft buster body has recovered as many as Rs 584 billion directly and indirectly in the last four years. The NAB from its inception to till date has recovered Rs 822 billion.
The honourable accountability courts around the country punished as many as 1405 accused with an effective prosecution of the NAB.
As many as 1237 references are under trial in the honourable accountability courts which have worth of Rs1335 billion.
