ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice retd Javed Iqbal has said it is a first priority of the anti-corruption body that the cases of mega corruption reach logical ends while the body is strictly following accountability for all policy.
Chairman NAB Justice retd Javed Iqbal chaired a huddle at it headquarter which reviewed the performance of the institution. Addressing the meeting the Chairman said that the NAB has the faith of corruption-free Pakistan while the anti-graft body is doing double efforts to make the country corruption-free.
The Chairman briefed that the NAB received a total complains of 1, 56, 858 in numbers from different peoples while it filed 1249 cases in accountability courts so far.
He said that the anti-corruption body added an amount of Rs 326 billion to national exchequer recovering from corrupt elements.
The Chairman said that he is hopeful for early completion of the mega corruption cases adding that without coming into any pressure the white-collar cases will reach logical ends.
