LAHORE: Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has said that NAB is committed to making Pakistan corruption-free and advised the alleged offenders to expend all their energies on defending themselves in the references instead of criticizing NAB.
Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said that 1230 corruption references, worth Rs 947 billion, are currently pending in the accountability courts.
He said that petitions would be filed in the accountability courts for speedy hearing of these cases and they would be brought to a logical conclusion as per law.
The statement further said that NAB is committed to make the country corruption free and so far, it has recovered Rs 714 billion of looted money.
