Islamabad: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has welcome the annual report of the transparency international for 2020 regarding corruption.
The spokesman of the NAB said that it believes in eradication of corruption adding that the graft-buster body has recovered a whopping amount of Rs 487 billion while since its inception it has recovered 714 billion rupees and submitted in the national exchequer.
It has brought big fishes of corruption in clutches of law adding that the NAB is committed to eradicate corruption from the country. spokesman added.
The spokesman said that it is a focal organization of Pakistan under the anti-corruption commission of United Nations.
Pakistan is the only country who signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese government to oversee projects under the CPEC and eradication of corruption adding that the NAB is also Chairman of the SAARC anti corruption forum, the spokesman said.
The transparency international report is the confession of splendid performance of the NAB that it is a role model for the countries of SAARC.
The NAB’s efforts are recognized by local and international organizations like World Economic Forum (WEF), Transparency International, PILDAT, Mishal Pakistan, spokesman said.
