LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has sought reply from government over plea filed for implementation of National Action Plan in Punjab.
Justice Ameer-uddin of LHC heard the plea of a local citizen Muneer Ahmed, in which there was an allegation that National Action Plan was not implemented in Punjab. Advocate General appeared before the court during hearing. The petitioner’s lawyer Azher Siddiq adopted stance that there is a need of Military and Rangers operation for the implementation of National Action Plan in Punjab.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that police has failed to maintain law and order situation in Punjab province, therefore military and Rangers help must be sought for the implementation of National Action Plan and there must be an operation in the province. The further hearing on petition will be heard on February 20.
