Karachi/Peshawar (January 19, 2018): After the social media savage the people came out for Naqeebullah Mehsood, who was killed during an alleged police encounter, in Karachi and Peshwar and they staged protest against the police and fake encounters demanding the resignation of SSP Rao Anwar on Friday.
Karachi: Sohrab Goth Protest
The demonstrators set tyers on ablaze and vandalized the vehicles and nearby buildings at Soharb Goth against the extra-judicial killing of Mehsud.Protesters have the view that Naqeebullah Mehsood was shot dead in fake police encounter as facts behind his killing should be brought to surface. They vowed the protest would be continued till the resignation of SSP Malir Rao Anwar, who was heading the encounter in which Naqeebullah Mehsood was gunned down.

Later the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Haleem Adil Sheikh reached in protest and talking to media demanded the judicial inquiry of Naqeebullah Mehsood and nine other innocent persons’ killing in encounter.
Traffic between Ganna Mandi to Jamali Road was suspended for quiet few hours as enraged protesters pelted vehicles with stones and damaged the property.Teen Talwar Protest
The protest was also held at Teen Talwar as the protesters have carried the banners inscribed with slogans in favour of Naqeebullah Mehsood and against the Rao Anwar.

Participants rejected the Rao Anwar claims of Naqeebullah Mehsood’s affiliation with TTP and said he was only a clothe trader and had no links with TTP.
Peshawar Protest
Another protest held in Peshawar outside the Peshawar Press Club against the extra-judicial killing of Naqeebullah Mehsood.The protesters gathered from Waziristan and other parts of the KP demanded the judicial inquiry of Naqeebullah Mehsood killing and demanded the fulfilling of all aspects of justice.
Motion in KP Assembly
The Khyber Puykhtunkhwa Assembly has adopted the resolution against the extra-judicial killing of Naqeebullah Mehsood in Karachi and demanded the judicial probe of the incident. The motion was tabled by the PPP MPA Fakhar Azam and house unanimously approved it.
