Naqvi praises sindh rangers’ role in Karachi’s improved security

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has commended the Sindh Rangers for their key role in restoring peace and stability in Karachi, as well as their contribution to national security efforts.

Speaking at the passing-out parade at the Sindh Rangers Training Center and School in Karachi, the interior minister said the Pakistan Rangers, alongside the Pakistan Army, played a vital role during Operation Bunyanal-Marsoos in response to Indian aggression in May 2025. Naqvi stated that the Rangers closely monitored enemy movements and successfully foiled hostile designs.

Addressing the graduating cadets, Naqvi praised the Rangers’ services in maintaining law and order, particularly in Karachi, and paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the force in the face of both internal and external threats. He also honored the martyrs of the Sindh Rangers, acknowledging their ultimate sacrifice for the country.

The interior minister noted that the security situation in Karachi has improved significantly compared to the past, crediting sustained efforts by the Sindh Rangers. He described the force as highly professional and congratulated the cadets on completing their training.

Naqvi further highlighted ongoing operations in Sindh’s Katcha areas, saying the Rangers were working closely with the Sindh Police to dismantle criminal networks and eliminate dacoits. These joint efforts, he said, have led to a marked improvement in law and order across the province.

He added that due to the continuous work of Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Karachi has undergone a visible transformation, with commercial and industrial activities reviving and the city regaining its status as an important hub for trade and culture.

Referring again to regional security challenges, Naqvi emphasized the Rangers’ participation alongside the Pakistan Army during the May 2025 border operations, calling their role on international frontiers highly significant.

Concluding his address, the interior minister told the newly graduated cadets that the parade marked the beginning of their responsibilities rather than the end of their journey. Expressing confidence in their dedication and professionalism, he prayed for their success and safety and wished a prosperous future for them, their families, and Pakistan. He ended his remarks with slogans in support of Pakistan Rangers and the country.
