MULTAN: The 52nd National Athletics Championship 2024 has started in Multan.
A grand ceremony was held at Ayub Stadium in which Pakistan’s pride, Olympics Gold Medalist Javelin Thrower Arshad Nadeem was special guest.
The 4-day Championship will feature forty-five events, including twenty-four men and twenty-one women events.
As many as eight hundred male and female athletes and over one hundred officials from Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Police, WAPDA and higher education commission are participating in the event.
A number of competitions will be held during championship, which will continue till 2nd of next month.
