ISLAMABAD: National political leaders including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s President Shahbaz Sharif, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly felicitated the Pakistani nation on the occasion of Pakistan Day today (Saturday).
In their messages to the nation, Speaker Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri felicitated the nation on Pakistan Day.”This day reminds us of the importance of freedom and the sacrifices made by our ancestors and defenders of the nation,” they said. “We will keep striving for the well being of the nation in the light of Pakistan Resolution,” they added.
Azad Jammu & Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan highlighted the importance of freedom and the struggle made by the Kashmiri people for getting freedom and said, “People of Kashmir are striving to be a part of Pakistan and Kashmir will be a part of Pakistan soon.” “It was (Pakistan Resolution) a great achievement and milestone that paved the way towards the freedom of Pakistan,” he highlighted.
The opposition leader in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif paid a rich tribute to those who sacrificed their lives and property for the creation of Pakistan.
“We should continue to work for the prosperity and progress of the country to fulfil the mission of our ancestors,” he said in his message.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also extended his greetings to the fellow Pakistanis on this auspicious occasion of Pakistan Day and urged the nation to gear up for achieving the mission of Quaid-e-Azam, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.
