Lahore: Pakistan’s men’s selection committee has announced the white and red ball squads for the tour of South Africa from December 10 to January 7.
This tour includes 3 T20Is, 3 One Day Internationals and 2 Test matches. The series will start with the first T20 in Durban on December 10, the first ODI will be played in Paarl on December 17, while the Test matches will be played on December 26 and 3 respectively. Launches in Centurion and Cape Town in January.
Babar Azam has been included in all three formats along with Mohammad Rizwan, Saeem Ayub and Salman Ali Agha while Naseem Shah has been selected for Tests and ODIs.
Shaheen Shah Afridi has been selected as his workload management for the white ball matches to ensure that he is at his best fitness and form for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Returning fast bowler in the Test team is Mohammad Abbas.
After not playing the last two Tests against England, Naseem Shah has also been included in the 4-man pace attack.
Khurram Shahzad is also included in test team squad.
In ODIs, left-arm wrist spinner Sufyan Muqim has managed to gain the confidence of the selectors for the first time.
