ISLAMABAD: The voting process for the 2025 elections of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has officially commenced across Pakistan, with polling stations open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm for uninterrupted voting.
The elections feature prominent races, including the race for SCBA President between Haroonur Rasheed and Taufiq Asif. The Secretary’s race is contested by Mian Irfan Akram and Malik Zahid Aslam Awan. Meanwhile, the Vice President (Punjab) race includes Muhammad Habib Qureshi, Chaudhry Arshad Hussain, and Khalid Masood Sindhu.
A total of 13 polling locations have been established nationwide, with an estimated 4,379 registered voters participating. In Lahore, 1,460 lawyers are expected to vote, while Islamabad and Rawalpindi will see 805 ballots cast. Other regions contributing votes include Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 593 votes, Sindh with 741, Balochistan with 322, Multan with 315, and Bahawalpur with 145.
Polling is underway peacefully across the country, and the official results are anticipated later today once voting concludes.
