SHARAN: A total of 10 Taliban were killed after a NATO-led coalition forces’ pilotless plane struck a Taliban hideout in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Paktika overnight, local police said Saturday.

No civilian was hurt following the sortie in the province, 155 km south of the country’s capital Kabul, the source added.

In an unrelated incident in neighboring Wardak province, a Taliban fighter was killed and three suspected militants were arrested after Afghan Special Operations Forces launched an operation in Lajjkhil locality of Sayyed Abad district, the provincial government said in a statement.

The security forces seized five motorcycles after the raid in the province, 35 km west of Kabul.
