LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday said doctors have begun giving former prime minister Nawaz Sharif high doses of steroids that are expected to enable him to travel to London by an air ambulance.
In a statement, the PML-N spokesperson said that Nawaz Sharif will fly to London as soon as the air ambulance arrives at the Allama Iqbal Airport here on Tuesday morning.
Aurangzeb said that former premier’s brother Shehbaz Sharif and Dr Adnan, the family physician of Sharifs, will accompany Nawaz, who will be taken to the Harley Street Clinic for treatment.
The spokesperson informed that doctors have again examined Nawaz’s health and medications are being provided to him for minimising health risks, particularly concerning his blood sugar level and heart disease.
She further appealed the nation to pray for the recovery of the former premier, who will be leaving for London on November 19 in an air ambulance.
