London (April 19, 2018): Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday arrived in London along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz and inquired the health of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
Soon after their arrival at Heathrow Airport, they left for hospital to inquire after Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who has been under treatment in London as her condition is said to be serious.

Nawaz spent few hours with her ailing wife in hospital and then left for his son’s residence. In his brief talks with media outside the hospital, Nawaz said ; ” I will not talk on political issues today,” responding to a question about his return schedule, Nawaz said that it will be confirmed by tomorrow that how long he would stay in London. He asked the nation to pray for his ailing wife.
Whereas Maryam Nawaz said in her tweet that may Allah bless her mother and all mothers with perfect health.
The National Accountability Bureau has summoned Sharif for allegedly misusing his authority for the illegal construction of a road leading to his residence and Raiwind. Sharif, who was disqualified by the Supreme Court last year, is due to appear in court on April 23 in a corruption case.
The NAB had asked the government to include the names of Sharif, his children Hassan, Hussain and Maryam, and his son-in-law Safdar Muhammad on the Exit Control List — all of them are being tried in courts cases related to the Panama Papers leaks. However, the government has not added their names to the list so far.
Earlier on Wednesday evening, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary Nafeesa Shah questions Nawaz Sharif and Daughter Maryam Nawaz’s visit to UK and said that the Sharif family was trying to make Panama scandal an issue “respect for vote”.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Wednesday, she while raising question on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Britain said that he was the main reason behind weakining parliament.
The PPP information secretary said that her party wants elections to be held on time because the party’s interest is tied with the people.
Taking a jibe at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), She said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was no utopian state… it also has adminstrative flaws. “We did not give Sindh orange train service but worked for public welfare,” she added.
She accused that PTI chairman Imran Khan has destroyed provincial ehtesab commission, while Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has destroyed cultural heritage in Punjab.
Speaking on the occasion, PPP leader Chaudhry Manzoor said that the PTI was doubting on its own party.
He wished Imran Khan could expel those whom Supreme Court had disqualified and the one who was being case was being investigation by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
On the other hand, PTI Chief Imran Khan has also questioned the former PM’s visit to UK and said that a person who is facing high profile case, can not be given this relief.
He said that UK is not too far, one can go and come back in a day.
