LAHORE: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif shifted to Jinnah Hospital amid tight security on Friday.
A large number of political activists were present outside Kot Lakhpat jail and hospital while strict security arrangements were made while transferring the incarcerated premier.
Political activists gathered around hospital showered flowers and pigeons were freed outside Kot Lakhpat prison while Quran Khawani was also organised to pray health of PML-N Quaid.
Jail sources said that a medical check-up was conducted by doctors including blood pressure and sugar tests before departure of Nawaz Sharif.
Security officials in all three shifts will be deployed inside hospital while few officials will perform duties outside Nawaz’s room in Jinnah Hospital which was declared as sub-jail.
