Islamabad: Cyber attacks on whats-app accounts have increased in Pakistan while it is also revealed that after the attack they accessed sensitive communication of whats-app user.
The National Computer Emergency Response Team ( NCERT) has issued advisory on the matter.
As per the advisory personal and official communication is conducted after hacking the whatsapp account.
The NCERT has also issued important precautinory measures to the whatsapp users in its cyber security advisory.
Precautionary measures includes use of strong password, avoiding clicking unidentified links and chats .
It is said in the advisory that whats-app users lock their accounts using bio-metric.
A use of whats-app on public WiFi can cause cyber attacks while users have to keep vigil on activities of whats-app while advisory recommend users to keep deactivate cloud back up
The advisory also urges users to use built in security features on whats app while users must be updated about whats-app security update themselves and about anti-virus and anti-malware software .
