ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operations Center (NCCOC) endorsed the steps taken by the Sindh government to curb the spread and increasing cases of Corona epidemic.
A meeting of the NCOC was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Umar in which the deteriorating situation of the epidemic in Karachi was brought to the notice of the NCOC. Urgent need was emphasized.
The NCOC and the Sindh government are keeping a close watch on the epidemic situation, which is at an all-time high. The epidemic rate in Karachi is 26.32% and the number of intensive care patients has reached 980.
Measures taken by the NCOC include timely assistance to law enforcement agencies in enforcing SOPs, improvement of existing medical facilities, timely supply of oxygen and continuous supply of vaccines.
