NCPS 2025 Survey Report highlights postive shift in economic condition, decline in corruption levels

ISLAMABAD : A recent survey conducted by Transparency International Pakistan highlights a positive shift in the country’s economy alongside a notable decline in corruption levels.

The findings indicate that Pakistan has made steady progress in promoting transparency and fostering accountable governance under the current administration. The government’s reform agenda has prioritized openness, rule-based decision-making, and fiscal discipline, contributing to these advancements.

Transparency International reports that transparency has notably improved, while corruption has declined, signifying that the nation’s economic trajectory is shifting from stagnation to stability and growth.

The National Corruption Perception Survey (NCPS) 2025 reveals that 66 percent of Pakistanis did not have to pay bribes for governmental services, portraying a significant reduction in corrupt practices.

The survey also credits economic stabilization to the government’s successful agreement with the IMF.

Additionally, the report underlines the importance of Pakistan’s removal from the FATF gray list, which played a key role in fostering economic stability. A positive shift in public opinion regarding law enforcement was also noted, reflecting improvements in the behavior and service delivery of police.

Furthermore, enhanced public perception regarding sectors such as education, land and property, and taxation was highlighted in the report.

The NCPS serves as a key indicator of corruption perception across the country.
