ISLAMABAD: The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a precautionary alert warning of likely smog formation in several areas of the country.
The advisory indicates that cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, along with Islamabad, Rawalpindi, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa plains, and upper Sindh, are expected to see a rise in fog and smog levels.
Low visibility is forecasted during nighttime and early mornings up until Saturday, posing challenges for commuters and residents.
The NDMA has instructed all concerned authorities to implement necessary measures to minimize the adverse impacts of the fog and ensure public safety during this period.
