ISLAMABAD: In a major relief for consumers, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has announced a reduction in electricity prices under the monthly adjustment mechanism.
The price has been lowered by Rs3 per unit for Karachi and by Rs2.12 per unit for the rest of the country.
NEPRA has issued separate notifications confirming the tariff reduction.
According to the notification, consumers will receive the relief in their March electricity bills.
The price cut for K-Electric consumers is part of the December 2024 monthly adjustment, while the rest of the country will see the reduction applied under the January 2025 adjustment.
