Islamabad: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday approved an uptick in prices of electricity for K-electric customers by Rs 11. 37.
Chairman NEPRA Tauseef H Faroqi heard the K-electric application to hike in prices of K-electric Tariff.
The K-electric has demanded an increase of Rs 11.39 adding that the generation of electricity was increased by using furnace oil.
The K-electric official further apprised that to increase generation of electricity through furnace oil and RLNG caused rise in electricity prices.
The Chairman NEPRA said that the prices of electricity has gotten expensive owing low pressure in three plants while due to low pressure caused 645 million.
The K-electric officials said that they have talked to the Sui Southern, the flow of gas pressure is not available.
The NEPRA Chairman said that when our team come to visit Karachi all the plants of the K-electric start functioning adding that in a principle, Bin Qasim Power Plant had to be shut in 2019.
