ISLAMABAD: NEPRA Imposes Fines on MEPCO, PESCO, TESCO and tribal area electric supply companies for regulatory violations.
According to the order, NEPRA has imposed fines on MEPCO, PESCO and TESCO, which have been implemented for not implementing the current prevention measures.
The order states that, MEPCO, PESCO and TESCO could not satisfy NEPRA in response to the showcase, NEPRA imposed a fine of Rs 1 crore per person at all three discos and ordered the fine to be deposited in 15 days.
All three discos failed to implement NEPRA rules, all three discos failed to raise 100 % pools in their administrative areas, which directed Mapco, PESCO and Tesco for the remaining steel structure in 3 months, Order
According to the decree, NEPRA has also taken action on the failure of the establishment of Health, Safety and Environment Directorate.
According to NEPRA, Hyderabad Electric Supply Company HESCO has also been fined Rs 1 crore.
