Karachi: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has reduced electricity prices for K-electric customers under fuel adjustment charges.
” Rs 2.45 has been slashed under the fuel adjustment charges by the NEPRA.”
The NEPRA has issued a notification regarding the reduction in the electricity prices.
As per the notification, the sole distributor of electricity to Karachiites, K-electric has requested the NEPRA to decrease Rs 1. 28 under the fuel adjustment charges.
The NEPRA held a meeting on Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) on November 30 and reduced the price of electricity.
As per the notification the reduction will be implemented for a month only. The reduction will not be applicable to life line customers and residential customers using up to 300 units of electricity.
While it will also be not applicable to agriculture customers and electrical vehicle charging stations.
