Karachi: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Monday ordered to take action against the officers responsible for giving approval of the building plan of the Nasla Tower.
A hearing of demolishing the Nasla tower was held in Supreme Court registry Karachi while honourable Chief Justice of the SC Justice Gulzar Ahmed headed the bench.
Attorney General Khalid Javed Khan insisted the SC to ensure implementation on the orders of compensation being paid to affected people adding that the builders didn’t take any measures still to pay the compensation amount.
The attorney general also requested the top court that with demolition, order be given also to take possession of the Nasla tower land.
To which the court directed to confiscate 780 square yard land of the Nasla tower.
The SC also ordered to present criminal action report in the next hearing of the case while he also asked the commissioner Karachi to submit report of demolition of the Nasla tower within one week.
