KARACHI: On the order of Supreme Court, a model of Qingqi rickshaw complying with the 17 conditions of Sindh Transport Department has been made.
The new Qingqi rickshaw has 100 CC engine, capacity of four passengers, safety guards and front and side mirror and other features, which are necessary as per Sindh Transport Department specifications.
The new motorcycle rickshaw has been declared fit by Motor Vehicle department. The regulations for motorcycle rickshaws has also been included in logbook.
President Motorcycle Rickshaw Association Atif Raza said that a list for routes have been submitted with the government. After approval of the routes, the motorcycle rickshaw would be allowed to ply on the designated routes.
