New set of ban implemented in various cities of Punjab for prevention of smog

Lahore: New set of ban have been implemented in various cities of Punjab for prevention of smog .

According to the Environmental Protection Agency Punjab (EPAP) order all the commercial markets, shops, markets and shopping malls will be shut down at 8 pm till November 17.

Whereas Pharmacy, medical stores, medical laboratories, vaccination centers, (Tandoor ) bread shops, bakeries and daily used items shops will be exempted from the ban.

Besides that petrol pumps, oil depot, milk shops, vegetables and fruits shops, chicken and meat shops will also be exempted from the ban.

As per the orders big departmental store can open their grocery and pharmacy sections.

In door ceremonies in marriage halls will continue open under old times of 10 pm with SOPs while the outdoor dinning will completely banned whereas Indoor dinning timings will remain limited .

Indoor dining and take away will be allowed till 11 pm from Monday to Wednesday while from Thursday to Sunday indoor dinning and takeaway will be allowed till 1 am.

According to the instructions out door games programs, exhibitions, including festivals and all other outdoor activities will be banned while on the violation of the ban the action will be taken under 188 PPC.

The intensity of smog not broke in Punjab as Lahore was top of the list in the most polluted cities of the world just few times ago where Air Quality Index recorded 1406.

The atmosphere of Muratib Ali road recorded the most polluted where AQI recorded 2236 while Gulberg 2208 and Pakistan Engineering service AQI ramained 1724.

On the other hand the AQI of Faisalabad reported 405 in Multan it recorded 338.
