KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Ejaz Ahmed Khan issued a notification imposing section 144 at Seaview on new year’s night in Karachi.
One-wheeling, riding motorcycles without silencers, carrying of weapons and aerial firing will also be banned on the night.
While traffic police have devised a substitute plan for the new year’s night. Roads leading to Seaview from Akhtar Colony will be closed for the traffic. Traffic from Akhtar Cololony and Korangi will be diverted to Shahreh-e-Faisal.
The roads leading to US Consulate form KPT bridge will be closed at 9-o-clock. The road from Boat Basin to Bilawal Chowrangi will also remain closed tonight. Heavy vehicles coming from Korangi Industrial Area will be diverted to National Highway.
