New York (September 24, 2017): A large number of Kashmiris and members of Sikh community staged protest demonstration outside the United Nations headquarters here as Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj addressed the 72nd session of the UN General assembly.
Kashmiri and Sikh protestors askedthe international community to raise its voice against the massive human rights abuses by Indian security forces in Indian occupied Kashmir and Indian province of Punjab.
During their massive protest the Kashmiris demanded UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to take urgent steps to implement the world body’s resolutions that provide for the exercise of right of self-determination by the Kashmiri people.
