New Zealand Will Depart Tomorrow: Waseem Khan

Islamabad: Chief Executive Office of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that New Zealand will return to its country on a chartered flight tomorrow.

Talking to journalists at Ministry of Interior, Waseem Khan confirmed that the Kiwi team will depart for its country tomorrow.

Responding on New Zealand unilateral decision to walk out of the tour on security reasons, he said that it is regrettable action adding that what all happened, happened wrong.

It is pertinent to mention here that New Zealand team just minutes before the start of ODI series informed the PCB that they have security concerns and wanted to end the tour.

The PCB and Pakistanis authorities informed the New Zealand management that foolproof security arrangements have been made and there is no any security threats received to the best intelligence network of the country.

The PCB also made a suggestion to the New Zealand to hold matches without spectators but the guest team didn’t accept the suggestion.

Even Prime Minister talked to New Zealand counterpart that we have the best intelligence system network and there is no chance of any security threat but she said that there is no issue of threats but we have intelligence that the guest team can be under attack as it leaves the hotel.
