Islamabad: Newly appointed Chief Justice Justice Yahya Afridi on Wednesday called on departing CJ Qazi Faez Isa.
Justice Yahya Afridi has met the outgoing CJ one day after his nomination by Special Parliamentary Committee formed by the government to nominate Chief Justice from three senior SC judges sent by outgoing CJ.
The meeting was held in a Chamber of the Chief Justice while outgoing CJ congratulated newly appointed Chief Justice Justice Yahya Afridi.
Justice Yahya Afridi also held second meeting with Justice Qazi Faez Isa after conclusion of the hearing.
CJ Justice Yahya Afridi also visited chamber of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and met with him.
Earlier, President A sif Zardari approved his appointment on the nomination of the Special Parliamentary Committee today.
Justice Yahya Afridi will take oath of his office on October 26.
