slamabad (May 10, 2017): Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sahrif at Prime Minister’s House.
Sources said that the minister during his meeting with the PM discussed Dawn Leak’s issue. The government and powerful military are at odd over the inquiry report of Dawn Leak.
The Prime Minister has been holding a back to back meeting with his close aides and top advisors to discuss over the issue and how to make the report of the inquiry committee public.
Reportedly, the differences over the issue between civil and military leadership persist due to which the report of the inquiry committee has not yet been made public. Despite interior minister Chaudhary Nisar’s back-to-back meetings with military and civil leadership differences could not be removed over the issue.
Sources said the government wants to implement para 18 of the report while military leadership wants to implement all recommendations given by the committee.
