‘No alternative’: Rather Than To Attack Over Syria: May

Web Desk(April 14, 2018): British Prime Minister, Theresa May has said “No Alternate” other than to attack over Syria, attack over Syria is in betterment of the people of UK.

Speaking just minutes later after the attack , May said there was evidence Assad’s regime was responsible for the deadly attack, and that diplomatic negotiations had failed.

She said: “This evening I have authorized British armed forces to conduct coordinated and targeted strikes to degrade the Syrian Regime’s chemical weapons capability and deter their use.

Earlier, Cabinet held a meeting over Syria issue to discuss the situation. The cabinet handed over right of decision in this regard to PM May.

 Ministers at a cabinet meeting said it was “highly likely” the Assad regime was responsible for a suspected chemical attack.

They agreed that the use of chemical weapons must not “go unchallenged”.

No details of UK involvement in any military action in Syria were mentioned in the Downing Street statement.

Earlier today, United States President Donald Trump said he has approved US military strikes against Syrian chemical weapons sites, in collaboration with the UK and France.

Donald Trump announced  ordered strikes on the Syrian regime in response to a chemical weapons attack last weekend.

“I ordered the United States armed forces to launch precision strikes on targets associated with the chemical weapon capabilities of Syrian dictator of Bashar al-Assad,” Trump said from the White House Diplomatic Room.Trump said the strikes were in coordination with France and the United Kingdom, adding that the purpose of the campaign is to “establish a strong deterrent against the production, spread and use of chemical weapons.”
