WASHINGTON: US State Department spokesperson John Kirby has said that US did not change its position on Kashmir issue.
In his media briefing, Kirby said Pakistan and India need to hold bilateral talks on Kashmir issue. Kirby said US wishes that Pakistan and India resolve the Kashmir issue through negotiation.
To a question, Kirby said US was monitoring Karachi’s situation and aware of razing Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) illegal offices. He refused to commit on detention of MQM activists and leaders in Karachi.
