Islamabad (August 19, 2017): Attorney General for Pakistan on Saturday said that he had no knowledge of filing of reference against Supreme Court Judge Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.
Media reports said that Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq had filed a reference against Justice Khosa for declaring him loyal to Nawaz Sharif in his judgment in Panamagate case.

However, when AGP Ashtar Ausaf was asked to comment on the new, he said that he had no knowledge of filing of such reference.
According to some other reports, Speaker Office has also refused to comment on the issue, neither confirming nor denying the filing of the reference .
The reference has alleged that the judge had violated the sanctity of the Speaker’s office.
The reference was filed on the basis of Justice Khosa’s April 20 judgement on the Panama Papers case, in which the judge had observed that the Speaker had failed to file a reference against the then prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, with the Election Commission of Pakistan and he was loyal to him.
