Non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Rana Sanaullah, court

GUJRANWALA: Local court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Rana Sanaullah.

Judicial Magistrate Sidra Gul Nawaz has issued arrest warrants for Rana Sanaullah, ordering his appearance in court on December 12.

A case filed at the Satellite Town police station against a PML-N leader is currently being heard in magisterial court. This case pertains to a public meeting held by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Gujranwala on October 16, 2020.

Police had cleared Rana Sana of charges and submitted report of his innocence in the court under section 173.

The court dismissed the police report and has summoned Rana Sanaullah to attend the hearing of the case.

The court issued non-bailable arrest warrant of the PML-N leader over his continuous absence in hearing of the case.

The FIR allegations include the unlawful removal of containers and the deliberate act of driving a vehicle over police officers.

Police had filed belated challan against Rana Sanaullah in the case.

PML-N leaders Khurram Dastagir, Imran Khalid Butt and Salman Khalid Butt have already been acquitted in the case.
