SEOUL: North Korea has announced conducting 5th successful nuclear test early this morning. South Korea summoned an emergency meeting of its National Security Council after the test to discuss the situation in the region. Meanwhile, the U.S. and the UN expressing concerns over the test have said that they are viewing the situation.
According to media North Korea has further improved its nuclear capability and once again conducted the nuclear test of successfully. According to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff the estimated yield of the test was 10 kilotons and it almost twice the test this January test and could North Korea’s largest blast yet.
