Islamabad (August 16, 2017): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is chairing a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) at the PM House.
Sources said that this was first meeting of NSC being chaired by Prime Minister Abbasi after his election as chief executive of the country.

Defence Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, National Security Advisor Lt Gen (retd) Nasir Janjua, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah and Inter Services Intelligence Director General Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar, are attending the meeting.
Sources said the meeting is reviewing matters related to the country’s internal and external security, especially the situation along the Line of Control as well as relations with Afghanistan.
It will also review progress on the ongoing operations Raddul Fasaad and Operation Khyber 4.
