CHRISTCHURCH: Funeral prayers of Syed Areeb Ahmed, who hailed from Karachi and embraced martyrdom in a deadly mosque attack, have been offered today (Thursday).
His dead body will be brought to Pakistan next week.
According to sources, arrangements are underway for bringing his dead body to Pakistan while remaining eight Pakistanis will be buried there at New Zealand.
Areeb Ahmed, 27, was a chartered accountant by profession and embraced martyrdom while offering Jumma prayers at a local mosque in Christchurch city of New Zealand.
He was deputed by his firm in New Zealand and was the only son of his parents.
