Former US President Barak Obama has settled in a new nine-bedroom home after he vacated White House following President Donald Trump inauguration.
The new house where the former US President has started is reportedly owned by Joe Lockhart — who served as the White House press secretary under Bill Clinton.
The 762-square-metre house is valued at well over £4million.
The brick home, which has wooden hardwood floors, has a grey and white finish in most of the rooms
“We’re going to have to stay a couple of years in DC probably so Sasha can finish,” Obama had said in March last year.
The family will be paying an estimated rental repayment of $22,000 (£17,000) a month.
The brick home, which has wooden hardwood floors, a terrace and a garden, has a grey and white finish across most of the rooms and nine bathrooms.
The house, which was once owned by Captain Charles Hamilton Maddox, who served in both world wars, is fitted out with a gated courtyard that will hold multiple secret service vehicles.
