RIYADH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks by the Houthi movement targeting the city of Makkah and the Madina region, along with their ongoing hostile actions against Saudi Arabia.
In an official statement, the OIC emphasized that these attacks threaten the safety of innocent civilians, violate the sanctity of Islam’s holiest sites and mosques, and incite unrest among Muslims worldwide.
The statement further declared that the Houthi militia’s assaults on sacred sites, places of worship, and civilian infrastructure are acts of terrorism that contradict Islamic principles, as well as international laws and norms.
It denounced any infringement upon the sanctity of holy sites as an intolerable breach that must be met with firm action to deter those attempting to violate these revered locations.
The OIC reaffirmed its full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia, calling for unified efforts to counter the aggression, safeguard the sanctity of Islamic holy sites, protect the lives of Muslims, and defend the sovereignty and security of the Kingdom.
