Oils tankers owners postpone strike

KARACHI:  The Oil Tanker Contractors Association has postponed its strike called against services sales tax till Monday after talks with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources.

As per details, director general of oil Ministry of Petroleum Abdul Jabbar Memon held talks with the association and assured to resolve the issues

The association chairman Suleman Tareen said that they were postponing their strike till Monday on the assurance of Memon.

Tareen stated that Karachi’s petrol pumps have four-day fuel reserves, whereas countrywide fuel reserves will last for six days, and independent power producers (IPPs) have furnace oil reserves that will last for seven days.
