Panjgur (February 05, 2018): At least one person was killed and three others were sustained injuries in a road side blast in Panjgur on Monday.
According to details blast occurred at Bismillah Chawk near Panjgur Bazar that killed a person and injured three others.
Police said unknown miscreants had planted a bomb in a motorcycle to target a tribal notable in Chitkan area of Panjgur.
The tribal leader’s vehicle narrowly escaped the blast. However, one passerby injured in the explosion later died.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
The security forces and law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and started search operation.
The dead body and injured have been rushed to nearby hospital.
Balochistan has faced a number of security challenges in recent months, with security personnel in the province often being targeted in roadside explosions and suicide attacks.
