Islamabad: Spokesperson of the Foreign Office has said, Pakistan has conducted operations in the border areas with Afghanistan.
In response to inquiries about air strikes in Afghanistan, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.
She said, security forces have actively conducted operations in border regions, which are carried out based on reliable intelligence and verified evidence. these measures are essential for maintaining peace and stability in the area.
The purpose of these operations is to protect Pakistani citizens from TTP and other terrorists, said Mumtaz Zehra
She said, Pakistan has been in touch with Afghanistan for the past few days and the Special Representative for Afghanistan Sadiq Khan is currently in Kabul. Sadiq Khan has met the Afghan Interior Minister, Foreign Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and others. Security situation, border management and trade were discussed in the meetings.
Mumtaz Zehra Baloch said, despite safe havens of cross-border terrorists and cross-border terrorism, we are in touch with Afghanistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan stay in touch to discuss security, border management, trade and other issues.
Further she said, they are trying to increase economic cooperation and investment, they are determined to cooperate with their partners on important regional and global issues, the lifting of the ban on PIA flights by the European Union is an important development.
