ISLAMABAD: The opposition in the upper house of the parliament walk out from today’ s session as a protest over not providing better treatment to former premier Nawaz Sharif.
The Senate session was held in the chair of Chairman Senate Saddiq Sanjrani.
The opposition leader in the upper house Raja Zafar Ul Haq raising the matter of Nawaz Sharif treatment and said that the former premier must be provided treatment of his choice while the government behaving like the ignorant.
Over not providing better treatment to Nawaz Sharif the opposition parties staged a walkout from the session. After the opposition walks out, Minister for state Ali Muhammad Khan said that the government did not have any relation regarding cases against the former premier while he has been provided with the best treatment.
Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Senator Raza Rabbani said that the government must tell the Senate what private diplomacy US carried out between Pakistan and India adding that Foreign Minister absence from the Senate is a matter of concern while he heard talk of private diplomacy for the first time.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Senator Mushtaq Ahmed said “Is the government going to establish relations with Israel as it granted Israel visa to Pakistani citizen.”
The minister said that the government considers Israel as enemy number one and government can’t even think of establishing relations with Israel and one who tries to do this will be thrown to the river Indus while masses also tear down him completely.
