Opposition Demands Govt To Call Joint Session Of Parliament

ISLAMABAD: The opposition parties in the National Assembly have demanded the federal government to call upon a joint session of the parliament on violation of Line of Control (LoC) by India.

According to details, NationalAssembly speaker Asad Qaiser chaired an important session at the house where numerous opposition members demand of summoning a joint session of parliament was seconded by members of the government too.

At the beginning of the session, senior PPP leader Khursheed Shah stated that the entire Pakistani nation is united on the issue without shadow of a doubt.

“Government should look into the matter [violation of LoC by India] very closely and seriously, Our main ideology is the country’s security and its survival”, said Shah.

Senator Sherry Rehman also expressed her views on the issue and has slammed India for violation of Line of Control.

Senator affirmed that Pakistan is ready to fight India if going to war is ‘forced on us’.
In her message, Sherry Rehman said that Pakistan wants peace, however, is prepared to go head to head against India if a war breaks out.

She added that its federal government’s responsibility to call a joint session of parliament to give a message to the world that Pakistan, although, is a country that foster tranquillity, but it’s prepared to go at war too if such conditions are forced onto us.
