Opposition parties oppose operation Azm-e-Istahkam

Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F), Awami National Party (ANP) and Jamat-e-Islami have opposed the operation Azm-e-Istehkam.

The PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan, on the operation Azm-e-Istehkam, said that there will be no operation without approval of the masses of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Ali Muhammad Khan demanded that Army Chief and Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) come to the parliament and give briefing on the operation.

On the other hand, advisor to CM KP on information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that under an umbrella of the PTI tribes peace Jirga will be held today.

While law and order, peace and the operation Azm-e-Istehkam will be discussed in the Jirga.

Chief Minister KP Ali Ameen Gandapur will convene All Parties Conference after the tribes peace Jirga and will apprise the political parties about the situation.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif chairing the federal cabinet meeting has approved the Operation Azm-e-Istahkam on the recommendations of apex committee of National Action Plan.

However, the opposition parties have opposed the operation.
